Welcome to Trela; a dream brought to life by two brothers and their little sister whom were raised in the heart of Portland. Growing up, we were surrounded by the vibrant aromas and flavors of Greece, passed down from our grandparents who lived just down the street from what is now our restaurant. Our grandparents’ home was always full of life, laughter, and of course, food—an embodiment of the Greek tradition of philoxenia, the sacred love of strangers. We believe that  everyone should be welcomed as family.

 

Our restaurant is housed in a historic 100-year-old building, brimming with stories of the past and now infused with the spirit of our heritage. Each dish we serve is crafted from authentic Greek recipes handed down through generations, from our grandparents’ kitchens to ours. Every bite reflects the care and love that our family has poured into preserving our culinary traditions.

 

We are passionate about using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients.  We believe that food should not only taste incredible but also connect us to our community. From our tzatziki to our souvlaki, every dish is a celebration of both our Greek roots and Portland’s thriving local food culture.
